It is that time of year again when the Shirts and Skirts rivalry kicks into full gear.

Unfortunately, this year, the Shirts triumphed over the Skirts in what was a tight contest. It all came down to the final 50m where Gary Ballard and Deborah Jenkins battled to the finish line.

The Shirts were both first home and the closest to the tag times and won the trophy.

It was a slightly cooler Sunday morning down at Gunnamatta Bay but that did not stop our swimmers from competing in the Owen Coulter Memorial Double-Double. Congratulations to Gary Ballard and Lisa Hedge on their win.

Congratulations to Jack Kirkland for his win in the Les Cavanagh Memorial 50m event.

What a great turn out we had to the Swimming Club’s Christmas lunch.

Thank you to all the members who brought food and helped on the day, in particular to the Poppett’s for making such an amazing ham and to the Bertram’s for putting together a fantastic spread of raffle prizes.

What a lovely Sunday for a swim! Not too hot, not too cold and the water is finally starting to warm up. We had a great turn out from our members.

It was another beautiful Sunday morning and despite the bay being a bit crowded with outriggers and nipper events, we had an excellent turn out.
